CASVA’s institutional mission can be summed up in a few points: maintaining the documents appropriately so as to pass them on to future generations in the best possible state of conservation and in the best and most easily consultable form; facilitating access to documents both for specialist sections of society and for members of the general public with an interest in architecture, focusing particular on Lombardy; participating in studies and research on Lombard architects in collaboration with other institutions; making use of the archives to publish collections of specialized studies analysing architectural production; proposing exhibitions to raise awareness of the archives and taking part in exhibitions, which at a national and international level draw attention to projects documented within the archives.
